Overview

Nicole Caputo is an award-winning book cover designer and currently the VP, Creative Director for Basic Books, a member of the Perseus Books Group, in New York City. She has art directed and designed hundreds of book covers for various publishers, including Simon and Schuster, Random House, Harper Collins, MacMillan, and Workman Publishing.



Nicole has been a guest speaker at the NYU Center for Publishing. Mostrecently shehas been asked to write the foreword and contribute her work to a forthcomingbook,tentativelytitled Cover Designers, to be published by Schiffer Publishing in Fall 2015. Her designs are also featured in Graphic Design Solutions, 5th Edition as well as other prestigious publications, including Communication Arts, HOW magazine, Print magazine, the Type Director's Club and Art Director's Club annuals. She has been recognized by the One Show, AIGA/NY, HOW Magazine International Design, Print Magazine Regional Design Annual, the New York Book Show, the National Gold Ink Awards, the London International Creative Competition, Communication Arts Magazine, Type Director's Club, Art Director's Club, STEP Design Magazine, and the Publishing Professionals Network.
