I am an experienced editor, writer, and educator. I always welcome any project and am well versed in numerous styles.
As a writing tutor, I assisted students with every part of the writing process, such as idea generation, grammar skills, academic conventions, final draft revisions, et cetera. I also kept abreast with current trends in writing center theory and practice in order to facilitate learning for a diverse population of students.
As a lecturer, I was responsible for designing and teaching introductory composition and rhetoric courses. This involved creating my own syllabi, teaching, course management, and grading.
At the Walt Whitman Archive, I headed a project of XML data migration of over 1,500 book files using XSL transformations; performed web design using XML/XSL, CSS, and HTML; and transcribed and encoded Whitman’s correspondence for the digital archive.
