Kim Childress – Editor

Author; award-winning Zondervan middle grade editor; Girls’ Life Reviewer; Product Developer in Children’s Publishing

Overview

Books! Books! Books! I love books! Especially children's books.

I also have a passion for helping other writers get published.

As writers, we are a team, and writers must help one another. I partner with authors to help conceptualize and create their best possible product, offering pre-book branding, social media planning and management, endorsement campaigns, all stages of editing, perfect proposals for traditional publishers, press releases, self-promotion long-term planning for maintained sales, direct outreach opportunities with industry professional, All based on client needs.

After thirty years publishing, I specialized in children's books 26 years ago, having been led down this path on my personal journey as a writer. I have found those working in children's publishing share a camaraderie. We understand that writing, editing, and reviewing books for children comes with added responsibility. Our words affect the lives of young readers.

Childress.ink.com began in 2008 as an author page and book review site where I could share great books I couldn't fit in Girls’ Life. Since then, Childress Ink LLC has evolved into a product development company specializing in children's book for all ages, all genres. As official reviewer for Multicultural Book Day since 2015, with new initiatives and partnerships such as with and MOMath,, now has a team of writers and editors of excellence, and has become a resource for writers, educators, librarians, homeschoolers, publishers and students, with internship opportunities for young authors.

I love sharing books and info on the publishing industry with the world! If you have a project you would like to discuss, or have questions, please contact me. For $150 quick review, I can look at your work and offer detailed overview of the project. Every project evaluated individually, none too big or small.
