Self-employed
I created my own company in 2017 and published my own version of "The Owl and the Pussycat Went to Sea," featuring the poetry of Edward Lear with my illustrations. I have also created art for book covers, painted family portraits, designed wedding invitations and certificates, and created promotional materials like postcards and t-shirts.
Nickel Plate Arts, Inc.
I am the director of a non-profit community arts organization in Central Indiana devoted to lifting up artists and uniting arts efforts in 5 towns. I am responsible for the organization's finances, fundraising, estrategic planning and overall operations. Through this role, I have had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with hundreds of artists and gained invaluable experience in executing artistic projects on time and on budget.
Conner Prairie Interactive History Park
I worked at this world-class museum for over a decade, ending my time there as the Director of Interpretation. During my tenure as director, I led many story-telling projects, including "The Prairietown Adventure," an interactive, daily experience that was structured like a role-playing game. I led the research team that tested the game, developed the activities and props, and created most of the illustrations for the project.
