Susan Schader – Editor

Professional freelance editor, story and script consultant and developmental editor with a background in publishing and the film industry.

Overview

I'm a professional story analyst and developmental editor who has worked in publishing and the film industry for years, and now work through my own company, StoryServices4Writers, helping writers of fiction, non-fiction, creative non-fiction, screenplays and teleplays, and all "indie" authors, develop, revise, edit, refine, polish, and ready their work for submission, option, and publication. I work creatively, collaborative, and comprehensively with my authors, who attest: "Susan brings an experienced, critical, and intuitive eye to assessing the strengths and weaknesses of key story elements such as premise, plot, structure, characterizations, dialogue, and marketability. Development is her forte, and she can be relied on to offer intelligent, insightful, and creative suggestions and solutions that insure a project reaches its fullest potential." And "The hunt for the right editor can be a daunting task, especially for a first time writer. With all the effort you put into your work, you really want the right person that’ll take it to the next level. After discussing my project with several editors, SJ’s ambition, friendly-nature and experience set her apart. In the editing process, she’s collaborative, engaged, supportive and honest. She does everything in her power to improve the manuscript and give it every chance to succeed."
