Overview
Since May 2017, I have worked as an editor and/or ghostwriter for 17+ novels (some still in the process of publication), one of which is an Amazon bestseller (Daddy's Curse). Some of the edits have been done post-publication after I pointed out errors to the authors, and others I have edited before they were available for purchase. I have also provided writing, ghostwriting, beta reading, pun writing, and critique services for independent writers and small businesses through the freelancing platform Fiverr. For over two years I have run a blog aimed at providing tips, distractions, and support to writers called The Writer's Scrap Bin, where I also publish book reviews, particularly reviews of little-known books and authors.
In addition to mostly five-star reviews, my Fiverr customers have called me "The Loudspeaker for Independent Writers". I have a passion for helping indie and self-published writers make their works the best that they can be, whether that be through copy editing, proofreading, or even beta reading. I have spent years honing my craft as a writer, and I want to use that expertise to help out my fellow writers as much as possible.
In June 2015, I graduated summa cum laude from UC Davis with a Bachelor's in English with Emphases in Literature, Criticism, and Theory and Creative Writing. I also received my Master's in Creative Writing from the University of Edinburgh's online distance learning program in August 2019. I have had poems published on a website for Northern California poets called Medusa's Kitchen and had an undergraduate essay published in the UC Davis Prized Writing Anthology. I was also longlisted for the Margery Allingham Short Story Competition in 2017, an international contest run by the Crime Writer's Association in the United Kingdom. Recently, my short story "Patient Zero" was published in Notch Publishing House's Darkness Wired anthology.
Currently, I am continuing beta reading, proofreading, and other services through Fiverr as I work on my own short stories and novel in progress. I also work as Head Editor for LM Vintage publishing, a small traditional publishing house. However, I am looking to expand my reach so that my editing services may be available to more authors, especially those looking to self-publish.
