Overview
Since commencing my role as Publications Manager at Don Bosco Publications, a small Catholic publishing house in Bolton, UK, I have increased annual releases from an average of four to ten. I focus on identifying, developing, and promoting pertinent content for the ever-changing market. I work closely with authors on every step of the process: ideation, structure, writing, revision and design.
Although my main role is with Christian literature, I have also edited lifestyle blogs, flash fiction and academic papers.

Work experience
Tutor Doctor
Working in a freelance position, I supported students in preparation for GCSEs in English Language and Literature. I also supported primary level students in preparation for SATs and public school entrance exams.
Don Bosco Publications
I am responsible for the day-to-day running of the company, formatting, copy-editing and proofreading new texts and revising reprints in line with the house style. I also curate content for the triannual magazine, ensuring content is valid and engaging and conforms to the business ethos and brand.
I have increasingly become more involved with the design process, resulting in front covers that have shelf appeal.
Manchester United Museum and Tour
Responsible for the planning and delivery of education sessions to primary and secondary school pupils, college students and university groups, mapping content to National Curriculum, BTEC standards and HE standards as appropriate.
Alliance Learning
Delivered English Functional Skills and Communication Key Skills to engineering apprentices as part of the NVQ framework.
