Overview
Before my freelancing jobs, I have worked professionally, at several publications (including Metro Ottawa newspaper, Metro Toronto newspaper, Nepean This Week weekly newspaper, Crain’s New York business newspaper InvestmentNews (NY), and the Orlando Sentinel newspaper in Florida) as a copy editor or editor. And, I had to copy edit & proofread my own work, which was then reviewed by my supervisor.
Currently, I’m working remotely as a Quality Assurance Specialist/Copy Editor for TypoDuctions (located in New York, U.S.), as well as a Freelance Copy Editor for Dolce Media Group (located near Toronto).
Also, I feel it is important to mention that, although my residence is in Ottawa, Canada, I was raised in Briarwood, Queens, attended SUNY at Albany and am very familiar with American English and its colloquialisms. I am a dual citizen of the U.S. & Canada. Also, I have a Social Security Number and an American bank account.
Also, I have edited 20 published fiction and nonfiction books.

• Assisted in posting articles to Metro’s CMS for website, which included ensuring each stories’ accuracy and clarity.
• Newspaper was acquired and shut down by Postmedia.
InvestmentNews
• Edited most of newspaper’s copy for style, consistency, spelling, grammar, punctuation and libel.
• Responsible for Markets pages, gathered fund information from Lipper Inc., then formatted to InvestmentNews style.
Orlando Sentinel
• Edited Sports, News, Features & Sports for grammar, punctuation, spelling, style, consistency and libel, under daily
deadlines, for all five newspaper editions.
• Checked for section accuracy while press was rolling and made corrections and/or substitutions.
• Designed and laid out several pages on CCI, as well as assisted other team members, all while under daily deadlines, again.
Fort Pierce Tribune
• Edited and designed news pages, including the front page.
• Edited and found content for the newspaper's TV book, called TVTribune.
• Acted as Photo Editor for the pages I worked on.
