Kim Pederson – Editor

I have been a freelance editor and writer since 1995. One of my primary current clients is Dr. Philip K. Verleger, Jr., president of PKVerleger LLC ( Phil is an energy economist and consultant who writes weekly reports and longer monthly analyses on energy markets, oil especially. I edit those reports, create the graphs and tables for them, and distribute them to clients. Phil also writes articles and papers for international publications such as The International Economy and Oil & Gas Journal, does presentations for organizations such as the European Central Bank, and consults to oil companies, financial institutions, and other interested corporate entities. I edit all of the written materials he produces.

Before becoming a freelancer, I worked as a Senior Editor in the Publications Department of Charles River Associates, an international economics consulting firm that works in diverse areas ranging from healthcare to transportation to minerals and metals to litigation support. After I left CRA, I continued to do editing for the firm and economics-oriented consulting companies like Arthur Andersen and Deloitte.

Other current editing clients include the ACA Compliance Group, a financial services firm that provides regulatory compliance assessment services to investment firms.

And finally, I have edited faculty papers for Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business, written research study summaries for the Marketing Science Institute’s quarterly newsletter Insights and its online blog, edited research papers for the Workers Compensation Research Institute and the Wharton Customer Analytics Initiative, and edited and proofed proceedings and monographs for Harvard University’s Center for Business and Government.

The books I have edited include Know Your Gut (forthcoming), The African Diaspora, Navigating World History, and Coping + Plus.
