Kameisha Hodge – Editor

I am an award-winning writer, experienced editor, and professional book publisher. I can't wait to work with you!

Overview

I'm an award-winning writer, experienced editor, and professional book publisher with over ten years worth of experience. I enjoy writing about the publishing industry, poetry, photography, and self-care; yet, I enjoy editing works from urban fiction, creative nonfiction, and memoir genres. Because of my flexibility between writer and editor, I've been able to work with WAMU, NPR, Viacom, UrRepublic, and Friendship Public Charter Schools (among others).

I began writing in 1999 under the tutelage of Mrs. Gwendolyn Jones who urged me to join the Creative Writing Club at my junior high school. I competed in local poetry competitions at different Borders Bookstore locations. I continued writing under the tutelage of a new mentor - Mrs. Yolonda Coleman-Body - who formally invited me into the world of publishing. As a self-published author, she took me to book fairs and book tours with her, she showed me great marketing and sales techniques, and also gave me valuable information about how to self-publish in a way that gets the most return on investment. Following her advice, I self-published three of my own works (one of which became an Amazon #1 Bestseller) and began helping other authors publish their own works as well.

To date, I have assisted with the publishing and/or editing of at least 20 authors' works. I currently am the Founder and Owner of two publishing companies, and am the co-owner of a third publishing company. I would love to be able to assist in the writing or editing process of your book, so contact me at your discretion! I look forward to working with you.

Have a great day!
