Overview
What do divorce, dentistry and Jewish Vampires have in common? I've written about all of them, admittedly not with the same satirical flair. I'm a journalist, essayist, book author and quick study who writes about everything from health to technology to relationships to pop culture with flair and humor. My articles and essays have appeared in the New York Times Magazine, Washington Post, Atlantic, Salon, Cosmopolitan, Ladies Home Journal, Woman’s Day, Consumer’s Digest and many other publications.
I'm an author of 5 books, all genres, from fiction to memoir to essay collections, published by Random House, Berkley Books and Globe Pequot Press.
I specialize in "as-told-to" ghostwriting--turning a series of interviews into a finished manuscript. I also excel at developmental editing--helping clients turn their rough manuscripts into polished books. I also write book proposals that sell, blog posts that actually get read and articles that are fun and interesting.
My sub-specialty is Jewish memoir ghostwriting. I have an extensive knowledge of Jewish history and culture which adds value to my memoirs for Jewish elders. I recently wrote a personal history for a Jewish dentist for the occasion of his 100th birthday party.
My experience at self-publishing means I can guide you through the process.
I'm also a whiz at query letters to agents and can help authors navigate the process of getting published

Testimonials:
"I have collaborated with Erica on other author projects and I have worked with her on some of her own, over many books and years. Whether you want editing, ghostwriting, proposal writing, query help, or writing coaching - you will be glad for Erica's talent, knowledge, and experience."
Laurie Harper, Literary agent, Sebastian Agency
"Congrats on a terrific proposal!"
Joseph Veltre | Head, Books Department, The Gersh Agency
"Erica has the ability to cut through to the “heart” of a story, stripping away irrelevant details that can bog-down a narrative and bore a reader. The book proposal she compiled for me captured the attention of a major agent which eventually led to a publishing contract."
Bob Cranmer, author The Demon of Brownsville Road, published by Random House in 2014.
“This book (Macro Man) never would have happened without Erica”
Mark Fishman, at 100th birthday party of his father Leo Fishman, Macro Man, from Bytes to Bites.
