Clare Fernandez – Editor

Hi there. Helping authors craft their perfect story as their editor is a true joy for me. When I'm not editing books, I love to read ... yep. I'm always reading. I also enjoy roasting coffee, spending time on the lake, acting, taking walks to enjoy nature and center myself, wearing bold and colorful clothes and accessories, laughing with friends, traveling, and belting show tunes off-key.

I'm a native Nashvillian, and I currently reside there with my significant other, Cory. Together, we enjoy gardening, fishing on our boat, or doing anything outdoors, and playing with our dog, Rosy. I graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2009 with a B.A. in Theatre and Spanish.

I have wanted to be a book editor for as long as I can remember. I truly love to get lost in an engaging fiction book, and I often turn to non-fiction for inspiration in both my personal and professional life. I left my 9-5 career in technology to pursue something that I am truly passionate about, and I could not be more grateful to be helping authors make their books the best they can be.

My editing focus is mostly nonfiction—professional and personal development, business, and memoirs. I also enjoy editing YA and adult fantasy. Mostly, I want for more underrepresented voices to be heard. And I would be honored to help you tell your story.
