Cayce Berryman

Cayce Berryman – Editor

As an editor and writing coach, I have one of the best jobs ever! I specialize in fantasy and literary, and raw voices are my favorite.

Overview

Cayce Berryman is an editor with a passion for words. Helping writers refine and discover their voice is what she does best, but when she’s not editing, reading, or designing newspapers and writing headlines, she’s outside. Sometimes, she’s outside on Facebook Live talking about editing, but usually she’s gawking over what grows in her yard, taking a scenic drive to church, or just enjoying the sunshine in sunny Kentucky with her dog, Autumn. "Cayce’s edit of my upcoming novel was precise, concise, and helped me sharpen things I’d overlooked in a manuscript I’d read a million times. She kept in contact with me throughout the process, and I was thrilled with the results!" — James D.F. Hannah, HENRY MALONE SERIES "Cayce Berryman is excellent! The editing she did on my manuscript was phenomenal. She is very thorough and went above and beyond to make sure my novel would be the best it could be. She was very interactive throughout the process. I didn’t feel like she just went through my manuscript and tore it up with a red pen. Instead, I felt like she helped me grow as a writer by pointing out what wasn’t working as well as the good points of my work. Cayce worked in a very timely manner, even finishing the editing earlier than expected. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for professional, thorough, and efficient editing." — Miranda Brock, KEEPER'S WAY SERIES; CIRQUE DU SHADOW SERIES; STRATUS "I really don’t know where to begin. This was actually my very first manuscript. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing when I started writing my memoir, and I was looking for an editor to guide me from the beginning to the end, and Cayce did just that! She guided me step by step. She told me what my readers would be looking for. Because I was a victim of a crime, she told me when I needed to add more feelings and ask more questions of “why.” She also wasn’t afraid to tell me when something just wasn’t right or needed to be omitted, or changed. I kept an open mind and was willing to listen. I learned so much from her. If you’re looking for someone who will take time out and really give your manuscript the full undivided attention it deserves, I recommend Cayce Berryman's Services. I was very pleased with the results and will use her again in the future." — Donna Robinson, COURAGEOUS AND STRONG "I stumbled upon Cayce randomly and extremely ungraciously with a manuscript that I had completed the day before that I didn’t go back and look over…not once. That being so, I’m fairly certain there was A TON of work to be done on her part, and she did it in such a timely manner, and the changes she suggested helped make my book the best that it could be. I will not use any other editor for my upcoming projects! She’s thorough, creative, and patient when need be. I highly recommend her services!" — Erika Blount, LUCIFER'S HOUNDS

An annual anthology brings authors together for a collaborative experience that includes a workshop and an anthology to add to their list of publications.
