I've been editing for over seven years, and I run a large multi-media speculative fiction review site I Smell Sheep.
I have edited just about every genre from a WWII alternate-history aviation novel to erotic mm romance. I've done adult, young adult, and middle-grade books, and a couple of graphic novels. You can check out the books I've edited on the bibliography page of my website.
I do all levels of editing: content, line, copy, and proofreading. I enjoy content and line editing the most. Editing a book is like doing a puzzle. I take all the pieces the author has written and put them in the order that tells their story the best.
I use Track Changes for editing, but I've also worked through Google Docs. I edit with a sense of humor because let's face it, most writers think editing sucks, and it's better to laugh than cry.
I've been married for 27 years, have two girls (18 and 24), and a five-month-old empty-nest standard poodle puppy named Winter (as in Soldier). Who I might have snatch-a-knot in if she doesn't stop chewing on my sh**! Bless her sweet little demon heart.
I love spaghetti.
