There is a Taoist story of an old farmer who had worked his crops for many years.
One day his only horse ran away. Upon hearing the news, his neighbors came to share his sorrow. “Such bad luck,” they said. The farmer replied, “Good news, bad news—just the same.”
The next morning the horse returned, bringing with it three other wild horses. “How wonderful,” came the neighbors shouting. “It's just good news, bad news—just the same,” replied the old man.
The following day, the farmer’s son tried to ride one of the untamed horses, was thrown, and broke his leg. The neighbors again came to offer their sympathies at his misfortune...
When I bought the bike, I never knew where it would take me. I didn't know what type it was, I had no knowledge or mechanical skills about these things. But I bought it because I wanted it.
