I managed a team covering three successful subject lists: Psychology, Nursing and Health. I set the list strategy and direction for both lists, achieving year-on-year growth. Publishing highlights include the Essentials of Nursing series of core textbooks (with integrated digital assets such as video, interactive ebooks and website resources), nomination for The Bookseller's FutureBook award 2017, integration of video content within our psychology textbooks programme, and development of a VR educational prototype for nursing.
I managed a small team and set the list strategy, delivering year-on-year growth. I commissioned over eighty titles. I also ensured the successful integration of the Learning Matters Nursing list into the company.
I developed the successful Transforming Nursing Practice list for nursing students, building it from four to fifty titles. I also developed a new textbook list for medical students.
I led a team that commissioned and delivered the Edexcel GCSE / GCE textbook and digital resources suite for History, PE, Geography, Art & Design and Religious Studies. I developed new digital products including collaboration with BBC Worldwide and filming of PE content within a school.
I co-managed a major higher education textbook list, shaping and delivering a growth list strategy. I commissioned and launched many successful new book and media products, including Law Express, a market-leading revision series, and an online legal case reading tool with LexisNexis.
I project managed the development of over fifty academic reference books across a range of subject areas in social sciences and humanities.
I assisted in the management of a market-leading textbook list, with early responsibility for commissioning new editions and online content.
