Suzanne Uchytil

Suzanne Uchytil – Editor

I'm a developmental editor and line editor specializing in Sci-Fi, Fantasy, YA, and nonfiction, and I've edited 20+ published books.

Overview

I empower writers to conquer the publishing world. I point out your strengths, act as a sounding board for ideas, and remind you that you're doing better than you think. I've worked with dozens of authors in fiction and nonfiction genres, and seeing a writer happy with the results is the greatest feeling.

I will help you tone up your literary voice so that it catches the attention of agents and editors, refine your manuscript until it’s error free, and organize your unique ideas into impressive works ready for publication. My goal is to get you to the point where you're holding that beautiful printed book in your hands.

Education

I am a professionally trained developmental editor, line editor, proofreader, and formatter. I developed my editing skills in a 4-year mentored editing program at a high-value university. In addition, for a decade I have studied writing techniques and observed the book-writing process, and I know how to help writers apply those techniques.
