Overview
A red pen is a thing of devastating uplift, at once creating chaos and from that chaos beauty. I'm a writer and nonfictionist with nearly a decade in publishing. I've published magazine articles (web and print), newspaper articles (web and print), personal essays and creative nonfiction, everything from feature articles to profiles and hard-hitting investigative journalism.
I frequently teach the craft and art of writing, from the ABCs of writing about place to six-week workshops of how to perfect book proposals. I've also taught English as a Second Language and have volunteered at college-reentry programs in New York City.
