Overview
I typically work in Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror fiction and related sub-genres, but I can assist with all genres of fiction and most non-fiction works. I can also work with essays and research projects in the humanities which utilize MLA or APA format, and business communications. I am open-minded and LGBT-friendly, and I love new and different kinds of stories in addition to more commercial work.
I hold a Master’s Degree in English Literature from Brock University. I started off as an editorial assistant for The Harpweaver, Brock’s literary magazine, and also worked grading papers as a TA, essay coach and tutor. I’ve edited three anthologies and one collection for my Pop Seagull Publishing label, and I am currently an Assistant Editor at Amazing Stories magazine, where I have copy edited issues of the magazine and several of the Amazing Selects novels. I have experience working with both new and seasoned authors and excel at maximizing the tension, flow and accuracy of both fiction and non-fiction works.
