Overview
As a 20-year veteran in publication production, I have been copyediting, typesetting, designing, and managing a wide range of books and journals in the scientific, technical, medical, software engineering, and project management fields. I've worked onsite and remotely, meeting deadlines and working directly with authors.
I especially enjoy engaging with authors to make their work accurate and elegantly phrased while keeping their voice alive. I've helped a number of authors whose first language is not English and had numerous jobs cleaning up transliterated manuscripts. I work hard to make the experience as enjoyable as possible, and I've been particularly gratified when an author arranges to meet me when traveling to Los Angeles.

Culligan Design & Type is a one-stop shop publishing services company, managing book, magazine, and journal production from manuscript to print preparation. We've designed many of our titles, but we also are happy to follow publisher's style guides.
Our titles range from computer software design, to biomedical/STEM, to business, with side trips into yoga magazines and dissertations. We've also created simple websites for solopreneures, family businesses, and nonprofits.
