Oversee editorial production for print books and e-books for online higher education university. Manage production process from manuscript stage to final PDFs and final ePub for print book, web, and mobile platforms. Collaborate with editorial teams, vendors, and other business units to conceptualize, coordinate, and produce engaging digital and print educational content. Create and manage schedules and workflow for multiple projects simultaneously. Coordinate with editorial team, authors, freelancers, and vendors to ensure projects meet established schedules and budgets. Optimize content across multiple platforms including web and mobile. Review, edit, and publish e-books to platform. Manage and archive all print and e-book files after publication. Train and mentor new team members in production-related tasks such as project management, preparing final files for the printer, and HTML/CSS editing.

Managed the production of 12–16 higher education textbooks per copyright year. Hired and directed outside production services to ensure that the production schedule, quality, and cost requirements were met for each title. Served as production department liaison for publishing list in subject area of Communication; assisted editorial team with planning in order to meet established company goals for quality, cost, and schedule. Coordinated authors, editors, marketing managers, print buyers, art directors, designers, and all other members of each project team to ensure production success. Hired and directed freelance designers in order to achieve market-appropriate interior designs for Communication books. Created and monitored composition and project management budgets.
McGraw-Hill
Managed the production of 8–12 higher education print textbooks and e-books per copyright year. Established plans for product development, and created and managed schedules and budgets between $300,000 and $500,000 for each project. Led in-house team in the production process, including editorial, marketing, sales, digital, and manufacturing team members. Worked closely with the authors, assigning schedules and managing their workloads. Served on committee to establish and refine department procedures and processes. Responsible for all aspects of editing, proofreading, art, photos, design, and manufacturing. Ensured all final page layouts were accurate and within design specifications, and approved final files for the printer.
O’Reilly Media, Inc.
Served as production editor for 8–10 titles per copyright year for technology book publisher. Scheduled, launched, copy edited, and proofread books; worked with authors and editors to improve content throughout copy editing, proofreading, and quality checking stages; coordinated quality checks with authors and editorial, production, and design staff; oversaw interior design adjustments, page composition, and indexing; checked final proofs for all elements of books.
