Overview

I am a freelance editor with three decades of experience. I offer developmental editing (character development, plotting and story outlining, guidance on taking your writing to the next level, etc.), copy editing (the nitty-gritty of the language on the page, including grammar and punctuation), and proofreading (please don't let your manuscript go out into the world without a thorough proofread to catch those little errors that slip past your latest perusal).

My specialty lies in character development and story/plot development. I can instantly see where a story is missing impact or vital scenes, and I help writers (both published and newbies) to create their strongest masterpieces while retaining their own voice (never allowing my voice to impinge on theirs. I am excellent at creating evil, vile villains, as well.

With new writers, I offer feedback as a writing coach before we get to the editing, if they wish, so that the manuscript they send me is done to the best of their ability, so that my work will then raise the level of their writing.

I have edited hundreds of books, and have guided dozens of new authors through the process of completing their first book. I thoroughly enjoy working with new authors in any genre.
