I'm a detail-oriented editor, specialising in Fantasy, Science Fiction, Romance and YA, with over 9 years experience editing and proofreading.
My experience in editing and proofreading means that I am able to provide a thorough, detailed service with a relatively quick turn around. My main areas of focus are Copy Editing and Proofreading. If you are after a thorough, but gentle editor, to help put the finishing touches to your novel, then you are in the right place. I will ensure your language is sharp and consistence, the expression clear and the overall readability of your writing enhanced.
I obtained my BA (hons) in English Language, Linguistics, Critical Theory, Creative Writing and Literature in 2012. Before that I spent a great deal of my time in America and Europe studying before I completed my bachelor degree in England. After graduating from university, I went travelling for a while, before I ended up in Australia. I currently live in a small rural town in Queensland, Australia where I have started my own private tutoring and editing business.
I primarily edit academic essays, short stories and fiction novels for multiple clients, and privately tutor High School and University Students. I have regular clients than come to me on a weekly basis for editing, proof reading and further development in their writing styles. I have a wide working knowledge of all subjects taught in High School.
From operating my own business many opportunities have arisen in the local surrounds including, regularly editing the local Newspaper (digital and print) and a local magazine that is distributed across southern QLD and Northern NSW.
I can edit in American English, Australian English and British English. My passion for reading has progressed and intensified to a point where I read religiously every day.
As my private tutoring business was booming I was being contacted by more and more people to edit and proofread their academic essays and short stories. From here the natural progression for my business was to venture into the world of editing and proofreading novels. This new venture employed one of my greatest loves, reading for work.
After settling into the quite life in a small rural town in Queensland I discovered that I needed more to fulfil the academic side of my brain.
I started a private tutoring business to help further the young minds of children in the town. From there my business grew and I now privately tutor Primary School, High School and University Students in a variety of subjects. I thrive on seeing the progress and achievements made by my students.
