I work with clients in the UK (my home country) and Germany (where I live) on a varied portfolio that includes proofreading, editing, copywriting and journalism. I studied music at university to MPhil level and remain passionate about classical music. I also love ballet, thanks to a few years working in the publishing team at the Royal Opera House. But my range of interests is broad, and not limited to the arts - I also write for a finance website, for instance. As an expat I'm fascinated by experiences of moving abroad (I write a column about this for a German newspaper).
As an editor I'm sensitive and meticulous, but I'm not a pedant. I love to help an author's voice come through and will make as many or as few suggestions as are necessary. I have years of editing experience and am professionally accredited. Drop me a line and I'd be delighted to talk in more detail about your project.
I've had freelance clients for a while, but I've been fully freelance since June 2017. I work with clients in classical music, dance, finance and more.
First as Editorial Assistant and then as Content Producer for Ballet, I worked in the Publishing and Interpretation department at the Royal Opera House. I produced the detailed ballet programmes for each show performed by The Royal Ballet for several seasons, working with top academics and journalists as well as choreographers and dancers.
I was the editor of the biggest classical music listings and reviews website, curating and editing reviews of concerts, opera and dance from all around the world.
Featuring lavish photographs of last season's performances, a special preview of the new season and lively and informative articles, The Royal Ballet 2015–16 is a richly illustrated companion to The Royal Ballet, its history, repertory, dancers, and staff.
Carlos Acosta is the most iconic dancer of our times, a genius of ballet and an international star. This superb photo-led book is published to mark Acosta's farewell season; an exciting retrospective to capture his greatest performances. This book is a unique record of his time with The Royal Ballet and a must-have book for all dance fans.
