Overview

I started indexing as a way to earn extra money for my daughter's education. She graduated from college in 2014, but I am still indexing, because I love the work. I especially enjoy indexing books on special education or rehabilitation therapies, since I am also an occupational therapist. I index many books on psychology, as I have a master's degree in it. I also index a lot of social work books. But my dream jobs would be to index a large cookbook and a famous biography.

I actually enjoy reading indexes. They are so much more informative than the table of contents. An index really ties up the book with a pretty bow.

A good index is a map for your readers, helps sell your book, and makes it more likely to be included in a library. Doesn't your book deserve an index that is a Zinger?
