I'm a professional proofreader with clients like Baen Books. I have a PhD in Humanities - Literary Studies and my specialties are young adult, science fiction, and fantasy literature. In 2010, I attended the Clarion West Writers Workshop, and from that point on, I centered my editorial work on the speculative fiction genre. Former editor of literary 'zine Superficial Flesh (which featured Hugo-, Nebula-, and Philip K. Dick-nominated authors and artists) and editor of upcoming YA magazine, Nervy. I also have nearly a decade of English instruction experience at the university level.

Used InDesign and Photoshop to create Vol. 23 of Sojourn, and Vol. 1 of Reunion; coordinated with University of Texas at Dallas Print Shop to ensure quality and consistency of final product. This issue was also used to promote the Univ. of Texas-Dallas Creative Writing Program at AWP 2010 in Denver, Colo. Also promoted the UTD Creative Writing Program at AWP by performing outreach and discussing the merits of the program with AWP attendees.
Edited and published each issue of the magazine. Used InDesign and Photoshop to create each issue; organized release parties and contacted media outlets when each issue was released. Organized small staff, assigned submissions, contacted writers, and used social media to promote each issue. Most recent issue featured Nebula-, Hugo-, and Philip K. Dick-award nominees, as well as Hugo-winning artist Galen Dara.
