Web Designer & Developer

April, 2016 – Present (over 2 years)

Head of House is specialized in creating custom websites, mainly using WordPress and Squarespace for easy client maintenance. As an independent designer, I wear many hats to help build out client branding (both off- and online); this includes: designing stationery, calligraphy / lettering, social media graphics and assisting on strategy development. Setting up newsletters and many other processes that help run clients run their business or projects.

Junior Creative Developer

March, 2015 – March, 2016 (about 1 year)

Responsibilities included: Designing websites, mobile applications and promotional material; Developing websites, newsletters and banners; Managing full projects: client communication and overseeing external design / development partners; Supervising and mentoring interns.

Creative Development Intern

September, 2014 – February, 2015 (5 months)

First assisting and later independently worked on projects such as designing websites and promotional material, developing websites, Flash banners and newsletters. During this time, I worked on ongoing projects within the company and was even able to assist other interns.

Titanium Ties

Titanium Ties needed branding that reflected their qualities; strong, durable and usable. They sell paracord bracelets and wanted their new look to speak to the lifestyle of their customers.

Head of House took care of the branding, collateral and the website. Deliverables included product information labels for the packaging, business cards, a Squarespace website and graphics for the blog. Along with a handy style guide to instruct them how to use the different branding elements later on.

The logo, brand colors and typography resemble the strong, rustic and adventurous lifestyle that they want to portray.

Nutritional Kitchen

Nutritional Kitchen is a blog for two nutritionists-in-training where they share recipes and research on a healthy lifestyle, while adding their own twist (hence the signature style of the word mark).

I worked on the brand design and blog. For the design we went with a sleek and organic look, while keeping the brand from looking too serious with playful graphics. The blog was built using Squarespace.

Writing Skills

Writing Skills was a creative writing university course. I designed and built the blog, which made it easy for students to have all the info for the week's lesson in one place; From the instructions, to the actual lesson embedded as a video from YouTube and the links to download the lesson files. The website was custom designed and built on the WordPress CMS.
