Core responsibilities include the day-to-day supervision of the inside sales team, developing overall strategies for increasing market share, implementing motivational and developmental skills; analyzing and reporting sales performance; monitoring and sharing developments and changes in the industry.
Work closely with colleagues in our Marketing, Editorial and Production departments to ensure the delivery of the inside sales team’s goals.
Attend relevant events and conferences, and interact with authors, instructors, end-users and others to gain customer insight and market awareness.

Core responsibilities include:
Management of two Associate Marketing Managers
Oversee the development and deployment of marketing plans to ensure each list reached their nearly $10 million in combined revenue.
Ensure all projects are commercially viable
Collaborate with authors to ensure books are marketed to appropriate audiences
Monitor and analyze market trends and provide insight to editorial and sales colleagues
Analyze and identify target markets and develop strategies for engagement and closing
Maintain a large sales territory, including every opportunity in the United States and Canada for courses in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, Philosophy, Classics, and Religious Studies
Place sales calls and e-mails to instructors in an attempt to get them to adopt our textbooks for their courses.
Visit campuses in the United States and speak with instructors about the nature of their courses and determine whether or not our books fit their curriculum.
Write detailed monthly reports summarizing my previous month's workload and analyze the performance and market trends within the disciplines I covered.
Work with development, editorial, and marketing to help create the best sales strategies for newly published books.
