Overview

I'm a book editor at a Big 5 publishing house as well as a freelance writer, with a particular eye for sentence structure and plot holes, as well as professional knowledge of the current publishing landscape.

Over my past five years in book editorial, I've been a literary scout working with all genres (YA, fantasy, women's fiction, commercial nonfiction, middle grade, you name it!), an editorial assistant (focusing on literary fiction, narrative nonfiction, and poetry) and now an associate editor working primarily with health, wellness, and lifestyle nonfiction (occasionally memoir). I'm familiar with projects of all lengths and at every stage--from book proposal to finished manuscript. I've worked with National Book Award winners and New York Times bestsellers.

As a freelance writer, I also know the other side of the game; it takes courage and trust to ask for feedback on projects. My job as your editor is not to change you, but rather to trim and shape your words until your voice becomes as loud and as clear as possible.

Writing is hard. Let's do it together.
