I am a freelance writer and blogger with 5+ years experience in marketing and communications for the non-profit and environmental sectors.
A creative, motivated and passionate individual, I care deeply about social and environmental issues. With experience in government, not-for-profit and for-profit sectors, I am able to adapt to any communication style across various platforms.
I thrive online. I am skilled at distilling complex and confusing information into 500-1000 word blog posts that are sure to be shared. I have excellent research skills, an engaging voice and can always meet deadlines.
I hold a Master’s in Resource and Environmental Management from Dalhousie University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto. I have also completed several courses from Ryerson University’s Magazine and Web Publishing program.
Aside from my freelance work, I am also the founder of Canadian Parks, a non-profit website dedicated to the discovery and enjoyment of Canada’s parks and protected areas. In my spare time I run a writing group based in Toronto and am working on my first novel.
