Overview

A magazine editor and book publisher with extensive international experience, I work with those who have important stories to tell, holding their hands and guiding their steps on the perilous publishing journey into the unknown.
I believe in professional products, niche markets, authenticity and the power of curation.
Having grown up in Africa, living and working now in Asia, and with the bulk of my clients from the US, I bring an international perspective to thoughts about audience, tone and the business behind the book.
Working remotely, I merge the joys of tech with a love of words and visuals.

Publishing and Communications Consultant

Moonshine Media
August, 2006 – Present (over 12 years)

Moonshine Media is a small consultancy that works with individuals and organizations to help them tell their stories. And to do so on schedule and within budget. Through industry knowledge and collaboration, we strategize and co-ordinate the production of media from conceptualization to publication — from origination of words and images to commissioning of service providers to delivery of the finished product.

Apart from publishing – books, magazines and digital content – through Moonshine Media, Dominique le Roux also collaborates with teams behind projects, organizations and events in a media management, mentorship, and brand building strategic capacity.

October, 2002 – July, 2006 (almost 4 years)

Managed the division that produced almost 20 new book titles per year as well as up to 100 new editions and reprints, for both domestic and international audiences and distribution.
