#354 Is Anybody Out There?

As someone who’s long been intrigued by outer space, I ran to the cinema when Project Hail Mary was released and spent tons of time keeping up with Artemis II. I’ve often wondered: what would it be like to see our beautiful world from hundreds of thousands of miles away? Would I feel a constant sense of peace and quiet, or would the solitude eventually get to me?

This week, let’s write stories that explore joy, loneliness, and everything else that outer space can make us feel. Set your story among the stars, in another galaxy, or somewhere on this planet we call home. Challenge your characters by making them reflect on what really matters to them. While we may not be able to leave a significant mark on the universe, we still have the power to impact the world around us.
