Hi! My book review blog is dedicated primarily to fantasy and sci-fi books. I also feature promo’s, excerpts, and interviews. I primarily read books geared towards audiences at the middle-grade and young adult levels. I also occasionally read contemporary romance books. While these are the genres I tend to drift to, I’m open to giving most books a chance.

The blog was initially designed to share a few thoughts about the books I read and that's the aspect I still enjoy most. I don't give star ratings as my 5 stars might be someone else's 3 so I say what I thought instead, trying to be as honest as I can and I make the review personal to me as a reader. After a few months of blogging I realised just how hard it is for smaller publishers and independent authors to get their books noticed so I'm always willing to feature them if I can.

We love the classics, but we also review lots of new books. In fact, most of our reviews are of books published within the last two or three years. This is partly because these books will be more readily available at your local library, but we also believe that reading newer books helps us define our salt-and-light mission.

Many of the books for FreshFiction's reviews are unsolicited. We can't guarantee that a particular book will be reviewed (since we receive many more books than we can review), but review / advance copies are always welcome.

The Novel Novice book review blog features primarily Young Adult literature, and select Middle Grade and children's picture books. We very rarely review adult titles that would appeal to YA readers, but not often. We do NOT normally feature or review New Adult literature. Any adult titles we review or feature should at least be appropriate for teen readers.

There were over 391,000 books self-published in 2012. That's a lot of company (and competition!) for any author.åÊIndieReader offers the best value for reviews, bar none. IR's reviewers & some of the best in the field & will let you know if you've achieved what you set out to do. Charges may apply. IR also recommends titles to the HUFFINGTON POST and USA TODAY.

As for reviews, my preferred genres are general fiction, fantasy and scifi, as well as nonfiction on important topics like equality, disability, fair treatment of individuals. I also love middle grade reads.

I enjoy reading somewhat eclectic range of book, but I especially enjoy reading paranormal, science fiction, fantasy and contemporary romance in both adult and YA books. I'm not a huge fan of horror I also don't read much erotica or anything overly graphic, abusive or with a blatant amount of excessive violence.
