Can my client cancel the collaboration?

When circumstances change, clients can request to cancel their collaboration.

There are two cancelation scenarios:

  1. Before the collaboration begins, clients can cancel at no cost if they are within the free cancelation window outlined below.
  2. If clients wish to cancel after the free cancellation window but before the start of the collaboration, a cancelation fee of 20% of the remaining payments will apply.

Once a project has started, only freelancers can initiate the cancelation process.

Please open the project and navigate to the Payments tab. Scroll down and click on Cancel collaboration where you will be able to enable the cancelation and confirm.

The client will receive an email where they can confirm the cancelation of the project and pay the fee.
