#370 In Real Time
One of my favorite elements to experiment with while writing is time. While I tend to favor slower-paced plots in my own work, giving myself a time constraint (e.g., making a scene happen in just a few minutes instead of throughout an entire day) can unlock something in me, challenging me to up the stakes earlier and ensure that my pacing never lags.
This week, let’s think about time, speed, and urgency (or the lack thereof!) as we write our stories. Can you leave our judges sitting on the edge of their seats?
