Dear Newly Abducted
by Philip Daniel Louro
Dear Newly Abducted,
As per protocol, this message will be your first point of contact upon awakening. Our deepest condolences are with you during this time of transition. Being transported off Earth can be a traumatic experience for all involved. There'll be no returning to the life you once knew. In the moments since you've begun reading this, your transport ship will have crossed billions of dimensions at speeds currently impossible to modern physics.
Understand that this is not the end. It is a time of transition.
On another note, our heartfelt congratulations go out to you for being selected by our alien hosts to leave Earth. A higher intelligence has been observing you from among the billions and selected you for “rehoming” on another planet.
We here at the Aurora Isles Superdome 438-2 are awaiting your arrival. We are a community of Earth’s "ex-pats" - good, honest folks selected for abduction just like yourself. Within moments, you'll be arriving at the gates of the Aurora Isles. Our community representative will be there to greet you.
Prepare yourself for a paradigm shift when you arrive. You'll be living in an Interspecies Domestic Living Arrangement (IDLA) with our alien hosts. Our superdome is a communal habitation area engineered by our friends from across the stars to accommodate your every desire.
We must warn you that usage of the word “pet” will be strictly forbidden, even when used as a verb. At Aurora Isles, we know that we're not "pets" to our alien hosts. We are their Domestic Life Companions. Soon, you will be too.
So, let's address the elephant in the room. Why have our hosts engineered this superdome for us?
Mankind provides a critical function in their lifecycle. Our hosts prefer to lay eggs close to the shores of the archipelago. The scent of our pheromones amongst their larvae seems to ward away potential predators from their nests. At Aurora Isles, we are not only living our best lives. We are nourishing new generations of interstellar engineers.
Is the juice worth the squeeze? We prefer to think so. The Aurora Isles Superdome 438-2 is a paradise beneath a superdome. Everything across the archipelago is engineered by our alien hosts to provide you a little slice of heaven. Explore our rainforests, stroll through picturesque ports, or swim along the edge of our rooftop infinity pools - a new world of entertainment awaits.
Visit our volcanic hot springs. Stay for a fire dance.
Once you arrive, you will be expected to remain beneath the dome. Never, under any circumstances, should you venture out to "explore" the planet. As we say here, everything we need is under the dome.
This will be your only warning.
Who doesn’t enjoy sunrises over the ocean? Our alien hosts have constructed the superdome for you to enjoy a balmy, summer day. Every day. The planet you are being transported to is tidally locked into perpetual daylight. Say goodbye to night skies forever - you will never see them again!
Start living 'on Aurora time'. Did you know that nearly a third of our community members are over the age of two-hundred? That's right. As a member of Aurora Isles, you'll have access to medical care beyond anything achievable on Earth. Get ready for a new you. Right now.
You will be sterilized upon arrival.
Population control is strictly enforced here at the Aurora Isles. Should you be honored by being chosen for breeding, your mating sessions will occur only under host mandates and only with pre-selected partners. A strict code of conduct would be expected to be followed. Of course, very few arrivals earn enough favor with our alien hosts to be selected for breeding. As previously stated, you will be sterilized upon arrival.
Once you arrive, our hosts will emerge from the sea to observe you. Many new arrivals search for some semblance of eyes or a mouth in their features. You will find none. Be mindful that our oral forms of communication do not appear to be intelligible to them, nor are they particularly interested in an exchange of ideas with us. Their language system is centered around their bio-luminescent scales, which they flash in vivid patterns to one another.
Now, let’s talk about tentacle kisses!
We will all receive displays of endearment by our alien companions from time to time. It is perfectly common to find their appearance unsettling. Perhaps, even a bit monstrous. Don't be alarmed. You may suddenly find yourself whisked into the sky and tossed back and forth by their young. A select few may receive the honor of riding inside their membrane flaps while they devour the nest of a rival host. At Aurora Isles, we always remember to wear our smile.
Always.
By now, you may be alarmed about your reduced status within the food chain. You may be wondering whether or not you'll find yourself - at some point in the future - being butchered and consumed by our hosts in some manner?
We understand that no one wants to be eaten alive. However, abduction to our archipelago does not guarantee a permanent membership. Our alien hosts have devoured new members in the past for not being the right fit for our community. From all of us here at Aurora Isles, consider this a gentle reminder that you were not the first person to be domesticated by a higher intelligence. So, let's hit the ground running when you arrive.
Let's synergize.
S - Stop asking questions
Y - Yield to a higher life form
N - Never venture beyond the dome
E - Educate yourself about your prospects
R - Remember there's nowhere else to
G - Go where our hosts can't locate you
I - Ignore unwanted doubts and suspicions
Z - Zealously obey host mandates.
E - Embrace your new life in paradise.
No one wants a new arrival to be devoured. So, let's not disappoint our alien hosts! Nor disappoint us - the good folks here at Aurora Isles. Remember, there is truly nowhere to run.
Regards,
The Aurora Isles Jubilation Committee

This is great! I love the false encouragement from the committee. They make it seem like an honor to be stuck, sterilized, and possibly eaten. 😂

This is funny and creepy all at once. I laughed that it was signed by a Jubilation committee. Not so jubilant for the abductee! Very clever take on the prompt. Well done.
