The maximum file size is 500MB. For files larger than 500MB, compress them or use the built-in sharing service DropBox or Box. You can also create transfer links from WeTransfer or Tresorit and paste the link in a message.
You can share files as message attachments or directly in the Files tab.
First, go to your collaboration dashboard by clicking Collaborations from the "Projects" tab.
Sending files via messages
Open a collaboration and click "Message" to open the message box (or go directly to the main inbox by clicking the envelope icon at the top of the page). You can attach files directly, or use the Dropbox and Box integrations to share from cloud storage. You can also paste links from file-sharing services like WeTransfer or Tresorit. Your professional can share files back and forth with you the same way.
Files tab
Each collaboration also has a dedicated "Files" tab where you can upload files directly and see everything you've sent and received. Click "Select from your device" to upload. File names may appear truncated in the message box and inbox — the Files tab shows full names and lets you search, sort, and manage all shared files.
Tip for editing projects
If you're sharing a manuscript for editing, send it as a .docx file — this is the industry standard format that supports Track Changes. If your manuscript is in Reedsy Studio, you can export a .docx backup from your Bookshelf: hover over your book, click Manage, go to the Exports tab, and click Back up.
