Written in response to: "Write a story in which a character forms a connection with something unknown or forgotten." as part of What Makes Us Human? with Susan Chang.

The rusty bear was near the trash can: full of dust, disintegrated, and the only thing remaining is the head. Would it hurt to take it? It a choice to make. Leave it to rot, or bring it home in peace. People would leave it behind. But not this woman, Avoria has taken dusty; toys, clothes, and books. She would clean it up and renew it putting them in her special home.

With every step she would renew it one by one: clean up the dust and sew it up. It was shiny and looks brand new. People would often complicated her, but she always got the job well done. People would paid her silver or gold, but she would leave it as free of charge. They were often grateful for her, leaving a coin behind.

Her goal was to help others in such a small town like this: to grow and renew what is old. Till a night the town was silence holding, what is once old is now renew. Silence sounds--sleepy dreams.

Gentle tap on her shoulders: her eyes widen; shocked, surprised, and fill with wonder. How did it happen? For she had summon a legend.

A legend that leads the way, crave the path to good; with adventure she could enjoy. Full of dungeons, or of the garden in peace. She was in the legend's dungeons. What did she do? Nothing wrong, she just wants to explore. She watch as the guards bound the prisoners' legs in the chains making them unmovable.

Isn't it too harsh? She would wondered, but she knew the laws are rules and they broken it. What laws did they broke? She would wonder as she look up to the legend The legend spoke not word, but a gentle tap.

The prisoners had committed a graved sins, the followings were; robbery, murders, lying and blasphemy. It their punishment of what they had chosen.

Is there a way to be set free? She would wondered as she walk with the legend.

The legend's shook their heads. So this is how it feels like to be trapped in enteral punishment. What about the garden? How would it felt to live in the garden? She wonder.

As the legend read her thoughts, the legend has show her the peaceful garden. People cherish, sang, wrote, ate, drank, and best of all; show love to one another. The garden was peaceful. People lived in enteral peace.

So that how it felt to live a place of peace. A moment of silence, a moment of love, a moment of memories, and a moment of a sound. Peace that last forever. Joy that will never end. Every tears of sadness is gone: there is only a tear of joy.

The garden has everything she wants the town to be. A place to live forever; a place to smile, a place to sing, a place of joy and a place of everlasting love.

The town was still silence--quiet night--no one awakes. The legend looks at her: she pleads to go back home, but the legend refused. The legend wants to show her one last place, but she refused.

The legend insisted they'll let her go once she seen it with her eyes. She then finally accepted the legend's offer. The place of a wishing well. Every wish will come true, unless it for evil purpose.

She looks next to the sign, In order for the wish to come true. It must be something simple. Money, power, fame, or wisdom cannot be granted.

She took a deep breath, but shook her head. She wish for nothing. The legend smile, but the other head frown. One is proud the other is not.

Why not wish something simple? Anything you could have could've been done.

Avoria smile and held the legend's hands. She spoken through her minds. I have wish I want to make, but for me smalls step take the biggest accomplish. What I learn is what I do. If I wish for something I'll never earn the spots. If I wish for happiness I would be sorrow for my greatest desire is to make the town proud not by force.

The legend had understood the lesson as they had promised. She was back at home, everything she seen felt like a dream. She had just form a deep connection with the legend, after all she felt the legend's pressure is with her.

The sounds had startled her, but it would the sounds of trumpet, songs, and love. She sigh in relief. It was what she saw in the garden. People were filled with love; tears were full of joy. She closed the curtains and smile by her thoughts.

As she head out--she notice a feast--free of charge. People talks out of love not of hatred. Her eyes were filled with wondered. As she walks by people would give her compliments. She would hand gesture a thanks. Her greatest desire has been given not by force, but by her love.

Those who once has nothing now has everything. Those who once who has everything has given away everything. It a parade of love! It a feast of joy! It a song of peace!

The town was like the garden. She smiles by the thought and wipe her tears of joy. It was dream that came true. People ate, drank, and sang songs of praises, joy, and peace.

The sun has set as people kiss and hugs goodbye. The people were ready for tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a new day of joy, peace, and love. Avoria was ready for a new adventure with the legend.

As she slept the legend were summon. She smiles and hug both heads: she misses them. The legend put their hands around her. Where do you want to go? The legend asked her through the mind. The garden. She replied.

The legend nodded their heads, they open the door holding a key toward the garden. Everything remain the same except for one thing; the animals were now roaming around the garden, people were cuddling the animals, feeding, chasing, and petting the animals.

No animals were harmed, nor was the humans. It was still a place of peace. The legend has finally spoken the words not through the minds, but by the mouth. "Welcome home."
