It was almost the big day, the day that the Deep Cs would go on the mission. Corey didn’t really know why they were going on the so called “mission” he just knew about it. Corey was pretty sure they talked about it during the meeting, but he really wasn’t paying attention then. Corey didn’t know anything about what they were doing, when they were doing it, and why they were doing it. Corey just decided to follow along, he was the assistant leader of the Deep Cs after all. That thought led Corey to the idea that if he did anything wrong, he would lose his position and his coolness.
“Oy, captain? Captain Carter?” Corey called.
“Yes Corey?” Carter asked.
“Why are we doing this again?” Corey said, hoping to weave his way through to getting all the answers he needed.
“We already discussed this at the meeting, Corey.” Carter said firmly, that wasn’t how Corey thought it would go.
“Right… but like, what are we getting out of this?” Corey asked, trying to be slick.
“Corey, were you actually paying attention during the meeting?” Carter yelled, catching the attention of the other people, they started giggling. Carter looked straight towards them and they all stood up as straight as he looked.
“What? No! I- uh, I just forgot…” Corey said.
“We had that meeting an hour ago! How have you already forgotten?” Carter yelled. The others were trying so hard not to laugh.
“Sorry, I just wanted you to be a bit more specific…” Corey said.
“On what?” Carter yelled, he was convinced Corey might’ve just been doing this for fun.
“Like do you think this is actually possible?” Corey asked.
“Dear lord… you weren’t paying attention were you?” Carter said. Corey knew he couldn’t get out of it, so he just gave in.
“Yeah,” Corey admitted.
“The whole idea of it is simple, it’s just hard to execute.” Carter explained, “Really hard to execute.”
“But what is it?” Corey asked.
“Oh…” Carter said, building up the rage and anger he was about to release, Corey took a step back, he really didn’t know what was going on, he didn’t want to lose his coolness, especially right before when he could just become really cool. “MY GO-”

It was the day before the day everyone was waiting for. Cooper liked saying the word “day” it kind of just soothed him. Cooper couldn’t get the word out of his mind. Cooper must’ve let the thought carry him away because all of a sudden, he heard Captain Carter yelling. He was kind of late because he saw everyone else giggling.
“-I just wanted you to be a bit more specific…” Corey said. Of course it was Corey, Cooper thought to himself, he knew that Corey was the assistant leader and he would always brag to everyone about it. Corey let that thought zone him out again because then he heard lots of yelling and giggling all around.
“What’s going on?” Cooper whispered to himself, his thoughts kept on making him zone out. Cooper was surprised that he didn’t zone out at the meeting earlier. Though Cooper knew that Corey did, because he clearly saw him about to fall asleep.
Once again, he let that thought take him out. Cooper got sleepy so once everything had calmed down, he shuffled his way to his bed on the ship, along with everyone else. Copper was excited to get all of those diamonds tomorrow.
Then all of a sudden, “Oh… MY GO-” He heard someone yell, Cooper instantly rolled under the blankets and covered his head. Cooper had forgotten the safety rules because he was zoning out during that meeting, but they would go over it tomorrow.

Tomorrow would be the biggest mission of Caleb’s life. Caleb does go on many missions, but never one this big before. Caleb had been in the Deep Cs since the beginning. Yet, everyone knew that he was the hungry boy.
I wonder what’s for lunch… noodles sound good. Ooh! Maybe tacos, oh why am I doing this, I’m hungry now.
Caleb's stomach rumbled, just then he heard everyone giggle.
Oh no… jeez, I’ve been here the longest and I just embarrassed myself in front of everyone!
Though it would be soon that Caleb realized that it wasn’t him that the crew was laughing at, it was Corey.
Of course
It was always Corey, yet… Corey still always found a way out of his troubles, so yet again, he would brag about his “assist leader” role.
What’s even happening?
Soon Caleb would realize.

Alright, is everything good? The cannons? The weapons? We mustn’t fail now.
Captain Carter was in an impatient mood, he could barely stand it. Tomorrow was the day that the Deep Cs would go on the crazy expedition for treasure, they can’t fail. Captain was already in a bad mood, but of course, Corey just had to stroll along and ruin it.
“Oy, captain? Captain Carter?” Corey called
Oh great, Corey, how is he still my assistant leader? I swear I need to stop that guy.
“Yes Corey?” Captain sighed.
“Why are we doing this again?” Corey asked.
Ooh I swear, we went over this every single meeting and he STILL doesn’t know! What if I just… no… no… not before a mission.
“We already discussed this at the meeting, Corey.” Carter said. He could tell that Corey had a plan to get the answer without listening to a boring meeting… because this is probably the 10th time he’s done it.
*sigh* Of course, why do I even do this anymore? After this mission, I’m gonna get the papers to remove him from the assistant leader role.
“Right… but like, what are we getting out of this?” Corey said while stuttering, he tried to say it with a cool vibe, but of course, it was Corey. He thinks he can get out of stuff like this even though he really can’t and just fails after a few words.
“Corey, were you actually paying attention during the meeting?” Carter yelled, catching the attention of the other people, they started giggling. Carter looked straight towards them and they all stood up as straight as he looked.
What do those fools want? Some Nosey crazy people.
“What? No! I- uh, I just forgot…” Corey said, stuttering even worse, now Carter was trying not to laugh.
“We had that meeting an hour ago! How have you already forgotten?” Carter yelled. The others were trying so hard not to laugh.
My goodness! This is insanity!
“Sorry, I just wanted you to be a bit more specific…” Corey said.
“On what?” Carter yelled, he was convinced Corey might’ve just been doing this for fun.
Like what does he want ME to do? I said everything he needed to know during the meeting! That’s HIS fault for not paying attention!
“Like do you think this is actually possible?” Corey asked.
Of course it’s possible! Well, now that I think of it… I don’t think it really is, I’ll just do my commander thing.
“Dear lord… you weren’t paying attention were you?” Carter said. Corey knew he couldn’t get out of it, so he just gave in.
“Yeah,” Corey admitted.
Holy… WHY? Welp now I’m really gonna fire him.
“The whole idea of it is simple, it’s just hard to execute.” Carter explained, “Really hard to execute.”
“But what is it?” Corey asked.
Whew wee
“Oh… MY GO-”
