Overview
I love the magic of words and how language works. I also love to learn. My love for words and learning and my desire to be helpful make my work as an editor very rewarding. I get to help people write more effectively about whatever they need to say--something meaningful to them, something they want to teach, something that heals or inspires.
My editing portfolio spans topics in holistic health, psychology and personal growth, spirituality, and the science related to these fields.
Early in my publishing career, I was Yoga Journal magazine's copy editor and food and profiles editor. This gave me experience with an editorial team that repeatedly won Folio Gold Awards for editorial excellence. Then, at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, a nonprofit founded by Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell, I was the senior editor of this think-tank's membership publication: Shift--At the Frontiers of Consciousness. For several years after that, I worked with Edgar Cayce's legacy organization, the Association for Research and Enlightenment, as the editor of its quarterly magazine, Venture Inward. Along the way, I've become a freelance book editor for Sounds True. I bring this rich background and wide-ranging experience to my work with you.

any book in its most organic form."
Mark Nepo, Things That Join the Sea and the Sky (Sounds True)
"Vesela brought a wealth of information, life experience, and editing smarts to my book and made it sparkle. Everyone should be so lucky to have
her wave her magic wand over their book and make it sing and find the right audience!
Caroline Miller, Getting Grit (Sounds True)
