Time for Hope

830 am I grabbed my pink coffee cup with John 3:16 printed on it. I got in my small four door car. I put my coffee cup in the cup holder, after taking a sip. It was hot.

835 am I buckled up and opened my garage door. It screeched as it opened. I backed out of the driveway using the mirrors and rearview camera to carefully back out.

845 I drove down the street and turned onto the main road. I turned right onto a long and dusty gravel path. I parked my red Nissan in the gavel parking lot. I got out of my car. I grabbed my pink church bag from the backseat. The bag contained my Bible, a pen and a purple notebook.

900 am I locked my car doors using my key. It beeped to let me know it was locked. I walked up the gravel path to the building.

915 am I entered the log cabin. My sneakers made a squeaky sound on the floors as I walked. The room echoed with all the different conversations that were going on at once. I took my phone out my pocket. I adjusted my hearing aids. My Pastor escorted me and several others who had just arrived to the bathrooms.

930 am We used the bathroom and washed our hands. Some of the ladies took time to freshen up their makeup. We walked back out into the noisy room. We chatted amongst ourselves for bit.

1000 am "Hi everyone. Let's get started" she said as she clapped her hands to get our attention. The room settled down. "Today's topic is Hope.' said Pastor Penny. We prayed for a few minutes. Pastor Penny handed everyone the agenda for today's retreat, pens and notebooks for the conference.

1015 am " Theres's bottle water in the cooler" she explained. "Let me introduce you to Reverend Black. He will be doing the first session." Revered Black stood up. He talked about hope. He asked us what hope means to us. We gave him a few answers.

1030 am We took a fifteen-minute break. Some of us got up to use the restroom. Others grabbed a bottle of water from the red cooler. Some continued to sit at their tables talking to each other.

1045 am We sang a song. The praise team was off a bit because of a new song. But once they got it. The song was very good.

11:00 am Rev Black continued his sermon on Hope. His bass voice booming off the hardwood floors. His bald head shinning under the fluorescent lights. His bright blue eyes lit up as he preached.

1130 am. We broke for lunch. We had sandwiches, chips, cookies, and tea to drink. I took mine outside. I sat down at picnic table. My friend Dianne sat down next to me. Her long gray hair blew around in the fall breeze. We talked while we ate our lunch. Her kids were at their dad's place for the weekend.

1200 pm Everyone pitched in to clean up. We were assigned tasks to do dishes, take trash or wipe down the tables and sweep.

12:30 pm, We sang another praise song and prayed.

1245 pm We did some stretching to get our blood flowing.

1250 pm We took a walk around the cabin. This allowed us to enjoy the beautiful fall weather. While we walked off the sandwiches and chips and cookies.

100 pm We came back in and sat down in the hard plastic chairs. Pastor Penny introduced Rev. John as the second speaker. He did his speech on hope. His voice was light. I could barely hear him.

130 pm We sang a song and took a break.

145pm It was time for snack. We ate and talked among ourselves about the retreat.

200pm It was closing and prayer time.

215 pm. We had communion. Each table got up to take part of communion. We each choose bread or gluten free crackers. Our youth helped serve communion. The retreat ended.

230 pm Everyone helped clean up and load the cars.

300 pm I carried the boxes of leftovers that the Pastor insisted I take home. I put the boxes carefully on the passenger seat. I got into my car and drove the short distance home. I opened the garage door. I parked my car. I shut my garage door. I entered my home.

330 pm I rushed to the bathroom. I did not bother shutting the door.

335pmI pulled my pants and underwear down. I peed; I wiped.

340pm I stood up and pulled my clothes up. I flushed the toilet I walked to the sink. I washed my hands.

345 pm I ate a snack of string cheese and saltine crackers. I popped open a can of diet coke,

400 pm. I sat on my couch; I watched my favorite tv show. My show was an hour long.

500 pm I stood up and walked into my kitchen. I opened my fridge and pulled the leftover sandwiches out. I ate two and some chips.

530 pm I took my medicines. I gave myself my insulin.

545 pm I took a walk around the neighborhood. It was starting to get dark. So, I went home.

615 pm I entered my home. I sat down to watch a movie.

815 pm. I took my clothes off and took a bath. I shaved. I put on my pajamas. A Scream t-shirt and pants. Ghostface was eating popcorn on the pants.

915 pm I pulled out my notebook and read over the prayer request. I prayed.

930 pm I ate a slice of banana nut bread with butter and drank a glass of milk.

945 pm I meditated.

1000 pm I watched the news and checked tomorrow's weather.

1045 I sent you this email per your request. "To send you a detailed itinerary of my day off.
