So I rode my horse in a Canter up to the hill's beginning and then hesitated, and the horse went, even shook his head in the wind and his mane flew all around; a Brown horse with a black mane and I tightened my grip on the reins, and I Tighten my knees' grip on the horse. And then we rode up the hill all the way up up through tall reeds, and then at the top, you could see over the whole city and almost to the other border of the neighboring state, and we just stood there and the wind blew our hair and the tree's leaves fell and flew around. Us in the wind. And then we exhaled, then slowly trotted and cantered back down the hill on a different route, this one was Rocky and went diagonal down the side of the hill back to my friend's house where we were staying, and I wanted to say to him where I was, but at the same time, I thought he didn't care. His name was Fred. And so Fred was asleep actually on the couch. The TV was on, the book was lying on his chest and his hands were folded across his chest with his hat over his face and a cup of coffee was on the coffee table and we just let him rest and took our normal spots situated in the bedroom. I mean the horse. Was out in a little enclosure, in the backyard that we gated up so that he wouldn't run away, and he was happy eating his hay, And I guess horses sleep standing up so, but there was a plan in the mix in that town and the town was called Carolinaville and it was in Alaska. And so I know there's snow in Alaska, but this was southern Alaska, and sometimes during the summer there was no snow. So anyway, we lived there, we had been living there for a while, and I grew a garden, and I actually had a house down the road. From Fred's house but it was under construction. So I had to stay with my friend, Fred and he let me and the horse, stay there with him and he had a girlfriend and I am I was a I'm a girl but she didn't mind see I kept my distance and she just went to work every day, but he was disabled, so he he was in an accident and he was just recovering from a hip replacement so he had to stay home. He's been staying home for the past 5 months and I help with the groceries and I pay my share of the rent but usually during the day, see I have inheritance money but to pay for my house which I bought as soon as my dad died, but So anyway, it's in savings and I'm trying to go lightly on it, but I do pay my way.Construction was a necessary thing, but the plan in the town was that they were going to try to make a big bridge that went across to the most neighboring island in the Aleutian island chain so that people could go there, especially since it would cause more tourists to come into the area.If we advertised enough , but the businesses were flourishing a little bit more since then.
So we all got to work on the bridge and we brought all the materials in and soon, there was a bridge. So the population was slowly dwindling, but when we made the bridge, more people came and made it a more busier spot. It was actually a small port, the town near the ocean and the island that they chose was one of the bigger ones, and they built a resort on it, and more travelers came after we advertised it online. In major airplane advertising sections, and it was just a very good thing. And so then that's what happened, and it was a victory for all of us, and we had a victory party. And the businesses were thriving and more people had different varieties of foods to choose from. Restaurants started opening up and soon. It was a booming business district. And then we all lamented, because we liked how peaceful it was before we built the bridge, but we were happy about how it changed, and how we were less lonely and more active and more lively. And there were more of a variety of types of people, more diversity, people were coming from all over just to be a witness to how the town had changed, because People were looking for a way to celebrate their life in nature. And this town, behind it, there was a lot of nature and me and my horse loved to go up on the hill and look over and we still felt like we had seniority in the town. But we were happy to invite everyone over in advertising, and it was a big success and Soon the bridge span the whole Aleutian island chain, and people could actually drive out there and go island hopping. And soon the beaches were opening up on the Islands, and it became a popular resort spa destination and soon, we had enough money so we could travel, ourselves and we were really enjoying our lives. And it all turned out for the best and everyone was happy and Fred moved in with his wife Megan at her parents house. Once his hip recovered and me and Winnie moved back to my house after the construction was complete and then things started turning back to normal. I kept talking to Fred and Megan started questioning, why are you talking to her so he had to stop talking to me but I mean it was my friend that I met on the plane, but when I first arrived to Alaska 5 years ago, but So he's just I let him be, and I think they're starting a family now, so I'm going to leave them alone and me and my horse are making new friends and because we like riding, we opened a horse corral, and we're giving classes and starting with a canter to a Gallup and some horses were flew in from the states. And now he has a friend, it's all a happy ending.Thank you very much.
