I've emailed you endless and endless times, however, you ignored. I NEED you to reply, please.
It's all about downvoting.

This is an important message, Reedsy.
My friend Ari Reynes, has been downvoted from 4,600 to 1,000. This is unacceptable and the hard-worked for points are gone-poof. This isn't a threat, but a lot of people are taking breaks from Reedsy.
I, myself, plan on leaving Reedsy for the sake of downvoters-(I am more concerned about my friends.)
This is a time when downvoters are striking the most-either from multiple accounts or just from teaming.
Sadly, the Marshmallows are practically gone.
I wasn't here when all that happened, however, I suspect that that's the reason why Marshmallows were created; the cause of downvoters.
I have just checked, and many of my friends were downvoted 5,000 points down. Literally. Want me to list a view? Sure! I'll gladly, but I bet that'll be the rest of the story.

As you can see, downvoting is making people feel...Hurtful. Perhaps it may sound stupid just to quit Reedsy just because of some stupid downvoters-well, it is. Wanna know why? 'Cuz your friends are just gonna be there and upvote you. When I was downvoted, it was a battle between them and my friends (obviously my friends won.) Thanks to them, I'm above 1k, without...I'd be at 0.
The upvoting button SHOULD BE A THING.
The downvoting button SHOULDN'T BE A THING.
Reedsy, I doubt you'll ever see this message because...
1. You never respond to my emails.
2. Your boss would never (probably) see this.

Oh god. Like I thought at first this was kinda like... idk I always knew it was real but I feel like really really bad bc I didn't really see it. Like, to me upvoting was the same as downvoting; you took away points for nothing or gave points for nothing. But I've been here a while now. And it's really depressing to see this. So... Oh and also lol I know you werenโt even talking to me, but as a person whoโs written like 600 poems between AllPoetry and Docs, I canโt resist adding a note: I think the most fun kind of poetry is freeverse, because you donโt feel like you have to force rhyme and instead you can write whatever you want with freedom to pen whatever you feel or think or believeeeeeeeeeeee
Then again for a *contest*, rhyming might be a good path?? I donโt know. Still think freeverse is better. But a solid poetry tip overall is to include a ton of imagery and also a bunch of emotion, even if the topic doesnโt seem to relate with that. Writing about waves crashing on shore? Weave in emotion. Writing about world hunger? Add stunning imagery. Thatโs worked for me, at least :)
AND THAT, MY FRIENDS, CONCLUDES THIS WEEKโS EPISODE OF โAERIN BUTTING HERSELF INTO CONVERSATIONS WHERE SHE DOESNโT BELONGโ! XDD

1. make it uNiqUe, so don't start too soon; find a REALLY interesting topic that you would want to spend time on
2. don't force the rhyme, try and make it fLoW
3. don't make it too short, don't make it too long; when you feel like it's finished, trust it. Make sure it's in the middle, because a waaay too long poem probably won't win XD :]
