The world can be a dumb place; no one knew this more than Jane as she was gasping from exhaustion from stomping a man to death. The idea of a war that happens make no sense to her. Why have a war of attrition? But then again, she was kinda born into this. She had murdered by an older woman named Lana and she had for the past few lives, but that is the nature of this world. Everything is crumbling and few within it has anything stable to cling onto, one of the few materials that wouldn’t at once disintegrate was objects made from human remains. But she did not care as she was no angel either as she had clothes and it took a few times to make one, but she did regret and anytime it smell, she did tend to it with care as she clean, as a way to make up for the suffering she caused, even it was too late and her victims never forgave her. Her only two solaces are that no one can die here and that Lana seems obsessed with her.

She didn’t want to think about this anymore and so focused on the building in front of her, she discovered an abandoned white bone castle. She noticed that someone forgot to drain the moat as there is lava still flowing through it. The orange light added some color to the reddish-brown sand; she smiled at that. She walked through laid out draw bridge. She saw white, the entrance, halls, and even the lobby. The profound thing was that there was room that had drawings, the drawings were childish and crude, something that a child would find funny, but adults would be annoyed. But there is an uncanny element to it as the clean and clear to these drawings, which are depicting a clear anger towards this one woman, was the lack of painting and drawing supplies. Granted, it was obvious that people were living here and had means and resources well beyond the average citizen of this hell. But Jane disturbed by the possibility that an actual child did this.

Children were rare in the Pit, but they were always as a rule separated from their parents in the pit and when someone was pregnant, they take them up. The Higher Ups had to appease to the citizenry’s morals. But here was a castle in the Pit and she saw the drawings, did someone from the surface brought their kid here. The culling of people who weren’t supposed to be here was usually enough to dissuade this from happening. The killed men and women also have their properties given away to the residents of the Pits so the fact that this castle wasn’t occupied was odd now that Jane though about it. The family must have left in a hurry as the place despite having no occupants aside from herself, did not feel empty.

There was a drawing of butterfly was shine with various hues of reds. It was beautiful but its shine was mysterious as it made her wonder how it existed with just materials made from humans. She left the room and started investigating the nearby rooms for any information on the bare room’s occupants. The two rooms had also been bare but at least had beds in them with no blankets. She searched under the beds by crawling under them, she rolled onto her back and stared at the bed’s bunk. There she found two leather books in each bed. She went to what could be a dining room and open the leather book, she found the reddish black characters. The writing told a story that the castle owners were people who tried to make the Pit more palatable for the elites.

The project seemed to fail as the owners’ neighbors were upset with the damage to the environment caused by the development. The people of the Pit may hate the difficult living conditions, but the project made it worse. But the residents of the castle were stubborn about making the Pit into a settlement for the rich. Jane is confused as to why. What would the rich need to go into the Pit for if they abandoned this area to find a better way to live was beyond her. These people were already better off staying on the surface. She walked out of the room and even outside of the castle. She turns around and wonders how many innocent people were used to make this castle, she has heard of house slaves being used as building materials and she believed it as she knew some people who volunteered for the work but never returned. But she sees this tall castle and how well the built the place is, and it brings up what resources the castle owners have.

Wearing the crown over the poor was something she believed warranted a hanging but she wondered if the villagers went too far. She wandered off but stopped when she saw a sign. Signs are rare in the Pits as making such a thing took a level of craftmanship that would've long died in the Pit. Even if you brought one, they would've have to due with using human bodies to make one as mundane things like paint, wood, and metal would've decayed. The sign in front of them was a brown wooden sign that said Giten.

Jane was confused for several reasons. One, how did they achieve this? Even the castle was bone white so whatever impossible material this sign was made of, they didn't have a lot of it. Two, why didn't the castle owners or the villagers make a bigger deal about this sign? Part of the reason that life was so difficult in the Pit was nothing that didn't come from a human body couldn't exist here. If it wasn't for the fact that people couldn't die, life wouldn't been possible. So a material that could survive here was huge. People would have to stop giving up limbs. People would stop relying on prosthetics, drugs, and Pit regeneration. Three, is the craftsman still alive? And four, What does Giten mean?
