I low key failed my math test today its not my fault that HE's in my class, helping us with our math cause he has a free period to use for Servce block. The gay guy that I like is named Liam arrow and he's volunteering at our school. i get to spend every other day with him and he has barely noticed me!! gresttt. and i still have that boring 5 page essay on the making of paper due TOMORROW. NOOOOOOOOOO

dear diary uh oh. my brother has his musical tonight opening night and HE is there. and apparently guess who's coming to our house after the musical ends and after they go to Taco Bell. I wish. hunter's bringing me a Baja. that still wont make up for me not being there. but still. LIAM IS COMING TO MY HOUSE I'm vacuuming rn because he's not going to come to a dirty house. I've already done the windows and surfaces. Baseboards are next. I'm vacuuming the stairs too. I've washed up and am putting on my cutest dress, a blue flowy one and I braid my hair back. I'm hanging out on our island chairs when Hunter, Liam, Amal, Tya, Sya(the twins), Roman, Jon and Mira come in. Hunter's brow crinkles when he sees my dress and the house. Eliana(my adopted mom) never cleans our house and Hunter is always surprised when the house turns up clean. he remembers my feelings for Liam and smacks his head. Liam turns in surprise and says 'hey why'd u do that?' I giggle and say 'oh um Hunter just forgot to get the dr pepper for me tomorrow. give my Baja to me rn hunter'. hunter hands over the baja blast and I snatch it, popping open the bottle and taking a little sip. hunter turns on some tiktok edits and I hang around, drinking baja and eating little bits of chewy cookies. I keep my eyes on Liam almost the entire time and he glances back at me once. I pretend to check my mascara, he blushes and keeps his head down for the rest of the time. Hunter, Jon, Mira, and the twins run out to grab more ice cream and dr. pepper. roman and amal hang out on a couch together on their phones. eventually they just share a phone and watch 2020 cringe edits. their little giggles reach my ears as I plop down discreetly on the couch next to Liam. he notices me writing in a tiny notebook. he peeks over my shoulder to read and nmy heart basically stops. my breath comes out in short pants as I feel his warm breath on the back of my neck. I squeak. he moves back to where he was and I turn to him, eyes wide.

"ur Lena right?" he asks.

"yea we met at anything goes and at little shop. you did great in both of them." I answer, stuttering over my words, utterly enthralled to be talking to him again. ever since little shop, I've dreamed of talking to him again.

"I noticed you like Dr pepper and chocolate m&ms from lsoh." he says.

"you-you noticed wut I like?" I grin.

"yeah. i-uh saw you from backstage. you were who I was paying attention to. While I was singing. The whole time." my cheeks turn ruby red and he looks down, embarrassed. "I love how you always smiled when I was singing." I open and close my mouth like a fish out of water. A small smile forms at the corners of his mouth and my mouth turns up as well.

"So, uh would you wanna go out for bruster's someday? Or like, now?" He asked, shaking his dirty blond hair out of his face. I nod, grabbing my purse that has my phone and my wallet. He grabs my purse, gripping my wrist. He leans over me and I start hyperventilating.

"i'll pay." he says, letting go of my wrist and heading for the door, my eyes are wide and my chest is heaving. I stumble for the door then trip as I lose sight of Liam. strong hands catch me and I get a horrible sense of deja vu.

"man, ur always falling and making me catch you." he smiles. I get a laugh out and remember where my deja vu was from. at lsoh, I fell and he caught me. we never met up after that. this bruster's visit was going to be the first date? we had since then.

Dear Diary.

We left the house and Liam called his friend, Katy, to pick us up and drop us off at bruster's. the ride was silent as we sat in the second row of her suv. Her other friends Griffin and Noel were in the back, giggling over some TikTok reels. they were headed to Bena's grad party. Bena was a senior who I was practically best friends with. He is so nice to everyone and invited a bunch of people to his grad party. From what I heard, it's going pretty crazy and EVERYONE'S going. We drop Griffin and noel off first and the party is crazy. I notice a silver Audi in the driveway and tell Katy and Liam to wait here. I go in and everyone's partying and going crazy. They're doing a chugging contest and I get a gag reflex. I see a half empty bag of cheese puffs and beeline for there. As I round around a corner to reach it, I run smack into hunter. knew it. he's a sucker for cheese puffs.

"h-h-hey sis. hehe um what are you doing here?" He's super nervous. Eliana hates us going to parties. I put my hand on my hip and look at him.

"You're not gonna tell Eliana, right?" He asks, head down and embarrassed. I shake my head and grab a bit of the cheese puffs. "I'm going to Bruster's don't tell Eliana and I wont tell her." I say. He nods and I rush out, relieved that Katy's car is still there. I half thought it would be gone. I jump in and she drops us off at Bruster's.

"thx." I say to her as she speeds off. He goes to the window and orders a cotton candy explosion. I order 2 scoops of chocolate and brownie bites. I'm enjoying the cool sweetness of my ice cream when I feel his arm slide around my shoulders. I immediately go stiff and his arm retracts.

"Oh,oh, I'm sorry. Do you not like me? or are you gay?" He's nervous and fidgeting. I shake my head firmly.

"No, I'm straight. But I was just surprised. I didn't know you liked me." I say

"Oh. I'm bi." He says. I nod firmly and put my head on his shoulder. He lets out a breath he's been holding. I just want to stay like that forever.
