A walked down the hall and 7 was there to catch her eye. "Hey, A'', 7 stuttered, "you wanna get something from the vending machine?" A agreed and they walked together down the hall to the cafeteria of their college. While walking they overhear the groups littering the cafe, "lindsey and mark..hmm..lark.", "Kyoko and Phill..hmm..Kill". It seems there was a new trend going on, and "ship" names were in. 7 and A reach the vending machine, which is as old as them, checking all the options laid before them. "a7 seems pretty nice", "WoAh, relax 7 we are just friends." 7 took time to realize, "OH, no no I meant the selection." "pff yeah right I saw how you looked at me during our walk and you do seem like a tubbytrender!" "A, chill it really isn't what you think." "OHhh really 7? You become my friend, like everything I like, and now you're shipping me with you? It is TOTally not what I think. Bye 7 see you during chem." 7 stood there in confusion as a cheese-O bag whirled out of its prison and fell. He grabbed the bag and the crinkle echoed through his ears, "what will I do!" He thought. A walked nonchalantly and confident she got rid of another creep. Almost every guy in the tri-state area knows about her, and every guy really wants to be with her. A didn't have anyone to hang out with, cause all the girls are worried of her stealing their boyfriends and A rejected every single guy, basically she is all alone. She walked to parts of the school she never saw before; the STEM rooms, Auditorium, and then finally the band lockers in front of the music room, adjacent to the auditorium. She walked past the many names who were given these lockers, the names of all the boys she hates, and all the names of all the girls that hate her. However one name stood out, because it is the only one with a single character, 7. 7's locker had stickers of "24 carrot" and a worn out sticker on the lock of the locker "locked heart legends'', all of which were A's favorite bands. "What a stalker." She walked away from the lockers disgusted from what she saw. Little did she know those stickers were long before she ever met 7. 7 was in a daze, he did like A but he wanted to make sure they would have a connection before anything intense were to happen. "We liked the same bands, the same..." "Woah you okay 7?" then 8 appeared, snapping 7 out of his daze. "Oh yeah, I'm fine man, what's up with you?" "7, I knew you since kindergarten, you are not a fine man." 7 then proceeded to tell 8 everything that happened, "bro what a total overreaction, you gotta explain to her, or dump any idea of her. I mean she rejected the '8 ball'." 7 could not find solace in 8's ridiculousness. "Aye, 8 how is 9 doing?". 9 was 8's twin sister. "She's fine, her album is coming together, but it really ain't my style you know?" "yeah I get what you mean." 7 wanted to find anything else to think about than A, "does 9 still hang out at the auditorium?" "Well I don't exactly talk to her everyday 7 but I think she does hang at the auditorium." "cool, well i'll see you later then." "Aight, see you later 7." 7 made his way to meet 9, he thought it was time to forget A forever. A walks towards the dorms, if she wasn't going to hang with anyone at this time then why stay out. Scanning the walls of the halls, watching the people stare at her as she passes by. The red and white striped lining the walls, minimalistic and quaint, do not represent the complexity of social conflict A faces every single day. Her world seems like a constant attack by everyone in this world, as she was walking to her room she thought of leaving this school, this heckhole. Then she saw it, a package in front of her room. It was a generic white box, a perfect fit within her hands, and it was shaped in a cute font, "for you!" She always had care packages from weirdos, all them consisting of money, hoodies, and phone numbers. Of course it does seem nice, but what they did with the clothes before sending it here was something which continually haunted her mind. A grabbed the box and brought it inside, hoping some dope gave her tons of money so she could get closer to leaving this school. Her room was plain, no sticker, pictures, or discernable trend, just walls and a bed with a blue sheet and a desk with her computer. She sat at the desk and opened the box, cutting the tape with her plain sissocers. "Woah", opening the box she was surprised with vintage cd's of "Locked heart Legends", "Jijo", "Red Guy", and of course "24 carrot". Underneath all cd's lay a white piece of paper, plain and generic, written on top of it, "happy birthday, from 7". She didn't remember her birthday today and well at first felt complimented, appreciative of the gesture. But of course her reality set in. Ew, she thought, he remembered my birthday. Why is the only person that cares is the weirdest person in the world. She stood up and flew to her bed. "EVERYTHING SUCKS!" Then a moment of silence, she laid there taking in the moment. *Gurgle* her stomach groaned, there was a reason why she agreed to walk with 7 to the cafeteria. She sat up in defeat and began to move towards the door, time for her to go back out there. A opened the door and made her way to the cafe. 7 was walking to the auditorium from the hallway of the cafe. *bloosh* "HEY, Watch where you are going bub!" "your one to talk! Keep your dang eyes open." A and 7 banged into each other. After a moment of composure they realized that it was each other. "hey" 7 said, "please don't talk to me" A said. "A I really didn't mean ship names. I was talking about the vending machine choice, I am serious, I know how you feel about everyone else. I, I wouldn't do that to you. I wouldn't just act like that, act like a "tubbytrender" or whatever you said. I like you for who you are, not how you look like." "Listen 7 I have heard so many times before, 'it ain't about looks, it's about personality.' You cannot lie to me and say that you don't like me for my looks, it is literally what everyone has against me! Our friendship was a mistake, you seemed cool but you are just like everyone else 7, just leave me alone alright?" 7 couldn't accept what he heard, he really considered her a friend and liked her, but considering him as a creep crossed the line. "You know what A? I will leave you alone, good luck with your amazing looks and 0 personality." 7 walked away and steamed toward the auditorium, A began to stand up and make her way to the cafeteria. 7 opened the door of the auditorium and saw 9 sitting on the stage playing on the piano. A walked into the cafeteria and walked to the vending machines. "pff A7, yeah right there is no A7." 7 walked up to 9 and their eyes met. A walked to the drink machine, where the choices are huge buttons with pictures of the drink you want. She inserted her donated dollars. 7 stood at the end of the piano, "hey", "hey 7", 9 continued to play arpeggios, "you wanna sit with me?" A grabbed her drink and moved to the snacks. "Hmm duritos, fritas, cheese-Os." "So how's the song going?" "Not that great but i'm open to any ideas." "well you heard about the pop chords right?" "no, what are those?" 7 put his hand on the keys in front of 9, moving closer to 9, "so basically..." A was in shock, she saw the selection of snacks. She remembered 7's favorite chips and she said under her breath, under her arrogant dum breath "A7...".
8 tapped A's shoulder and got her attention. "You know you overreacted a lot right? You should really talk to 7, he was really into you man, and I mean that friend way. He never deals with loss well." "8, where is 7?" "OH, wow so you will talk to him, I have no idea but since he's not with you check the band room or auditorium. That band nerd." "Thanks 8." She hurried across the school to find 7 and apologize, and 8 was just in awe that A talked to him. 7 came in close and began playing the chords C G F, "so basically that's some of them, or is it all of them? Sorry, I saw it on a video yesterday and well look at me attempting to be some music know it all." 9 chuckled, "it's fine, let's play something." "Oh okay, Heart and Soul? Like old times?", "he, sure." A bursted into the band room, surprising the band teacher but no 7. "Are you loo.." *Slam* She closed the door and walked to the auditorium. 7 and 9 played on and enjoyed themselves, laughing and smiling, sharing the keys and notes just like they used to. A opened the door and saw them playing on the stage, seeing 7 with 9 confused her, it made A jealous. Of course A was rambunctious but not irrational, she left the auditorium and closed the door quietly. All she thought was, 'I was wrong and i'll never come back to this school ever again...' Time passed and beauty left and age increased, it was not A's fault that she couldn't trust anyone. It was the fault of the pervs and divas that produced the untrust. 7 understood what she went through but he saw that she couldn't trust him, and because of that he coped with the loss and moved on. A moved on also, but how things would be so different if she was a different person, treated a different way.
