It was supposed to be Meredith’s best day of her life. After all, she was marrying the love of her life. She and her fiancé, Johnathan, had planned everything to perfection. Meredith wore her mother’s wedding dress, since she wasn’t there to join her on her bid day. Elaine, Meredith’s mother, was killed ten years ago, because their house was set on fire by a destroyed electrical circuit. Meredith and her father were burn victim survivors.
As Meredith was walking down the isle, with her beloved father besides her, tears of joy were running down her cheeks. Johnathan was smiling. The wedding was in a small, quiet church in Santorini, Greece with a few guests. The sunset was setting, while the priest was chanting. The happy couple was about to kiss, when suddenly, someone yelled “STOP THE WEDDING!”.
It was Meredith’s ex boyfriend, David. Everyone saw his desperate face. All the guests, including Meredith, thought that he was planning to destroy the wedding to get back with the bride. David was about to explain why he was interrupting the most important day of her life. He opened his mouth for the second time, in order to speak his truth and he was shot on the head and killed instantly.
Panic spread across the church. Everyone was running off to save their lives. Screams filled the room. The killer could shoot again inside this chaos, but he didn’t. No one saw him, neither did they see the bullet that stroke him on the head, they only saw blood.

Meredith woke up alone, in a hospital bed. She had collapsed on the ground out of fear. She called Johnathan from the hospital’s phone, but he wouldn’t answer, neither did her father. A nurse came to check up on her and Meredith started talking to her in English, her native tongue. The nurse couldn’t comprehend, what she was saying. Tears run down her face, when she realized she was all alone in a foreign country.

After the doctor’s thorough check ups, they were certain that Meredith wasn’t suffering from any traumas and they let her go. For twenty four hours she tried to reach her fiancé and her father. She couldn’t reach them. She was all alone.
Meredith was trying to be calm in this situation, but it was hard. She didn’thave any money on her, or clothes except from her wedding dress, so she was forced to wear it again. As she was dressing, she noticed a piece of paper on the inside of the dress. There was a phone number and she called it, as it was her last hope. Meredith was desperate, but no one picked it up.
“What the heck was I thinking?” she mumbled and then she sat right outside the hospital bursting in tears. She was exhausted and immediately fell to sleep on the bench she was sitting. She was shot dead in the head. No one saw who did it.
Meredith opened her eyes. Everything was white. It was called a human looking creature approached her. He looked at her and scanned her with his eyes. “It’s not right” he told her while he was nodding with disgust. “Who are you? Where am I?” she yelled, her voice filled with panic. “I am your guardian angel” He replied now calmly.
What happened?
You died
Somebody shot you in the head
What happened to my dad? Where is johnathan?
We don’t have much time and I am not allowed to tell you. The only thing I can do for you is to give you two choices. Either you die and go to heaven, or I revive you and grant you the ability to time travel, but you can’t tell anything to anyone about the future or the past.
Meredith’s POV
The second, I reply as fast as I can. And I am brought back to my wedding day, the worst day of my life. “STOP THE WEDDING” are the first words I hear. “EVERYBODY RUN” I screamed at the top of my voice. Everyone scattered. I didn’t know who to trust, so I didn’t reach for Johnathan’s hand. I immediately hid and then went back in time to a day before the wedding.

I was teleported to my house. Dad then walked through my door. Before he could say a word, I hugged him so tightly that he almost couldn’t breathe. He than laughed and asked me if I was anxious because of the wedding. As I was about to say everything, I remember what my guardian angel told me and I replied to my dad confirmatively.
“I ant to process things by myself” I told him. I didn’t lie, but I couldn’t tell him gthe truth. He wouldn’t believe me either way. “It’s okay sweatheart, I get it” he told me and then left the room. I need to find David! I have to know why they killed him. He has to have some kind of important knowledge, that I need to know. I immediately called him and asked him to meet up, with the excuse that I need to tell him something before I get married.
At midnight, we meet under a bridge in Santorini. I knew he would be there. I was sure of it, because he still loved me and missed me. As I am walking towards the bridge, I see a dark figure. I knew it was him. He had his hands in his pocket and his left leg was trembling. He was anxious. When he saw me, he run towards me, saying that he loved me so much and that he missed me.
“I never stopped looking how hour house set on fire, I am sure it wasn’t an accident” he told me. I saw it in his eyes, his endeavors were pure and genuine. “I have almost found who did it!” he said, while holding my hands. “It was the broken electrical circuit” I reply confidently., then he opened his mouth in order to continue talking. Before he could say a word, he was shot dead.
Meredith run for her life, as she saw, the killer approaching. She hid on some bushes for hours. Her body was still, she couldn’t make a move. The killer was so close she had to hold her breath.
“I need to find how my mom died” she thought. “I am sure of it now, it wasn’t an accident”. She was starving, but she could keep her head straight as her body was fueled by adrenaline. When she was sure that the killer left, she teleported one week before the house fire.

She checked the electrical circuits of the house, when no one was watching her. She even brought electricians to the house and everything was fine. Meredith had no choice, but to spy on her mother. Everything seemed normal. She was cooking, cleaning, doing chores and working. Suddenly, one day before of the house fire, she left the house at midnight.
Meredith’s POV
I couldn’t believe what I saw! My mom was walking towards a dark alley, then a woman appeared and I was shook at what I was witnessing. My mom pulled out two crisp hundred dollars and handed them to the woman in exchange for drugs. “That’s not what is happening!” the voices screamed in my head, but it was too late, I had already witnessed it.
I couldn’t believe my eyes… “I have to gain every information I can on this” I thought to myself. I didn’t have much time. My mom was about to die. I followed her dealer and pulled out a knife. I had to save my mom. “Tell me everything” I mumble, while the knife is right beside her carotid artery. I kick her on the back and she falls on the ground.
Who are you?
It doesn’t matter, know tell me everything before I kill you.
She didn’t have much of a choice, as I had her on the ground and the knife was in her neck. “Elaine is a junkie!” she yells, “now let me go” she continues. “You don’t even know how to hold a knife” she screams and with one move she’s on top of me. I struggle as we fight, bruises on my wrists, cuts on my cheeks, but it was worth it because I gathered one more information as I was chocking her. “Tony” she yelled at me at the top of her lungs. It was three AM at this point.
How the fuck do you know my dad?
Oh so you are the daughter
He paid me to be Elaine’s dealer
Shut the fuck up, he didn’t. You will die, if you keep lying to me.
I said as I kept choking her with my bear hands
I swear I’m telling you the truth
Than why the heck would he do that?
I don’t know, I was in it for the money.
You are pathetic.
I tell her than leave. She doesn’t follow me. She is too scared. If she’s telling me the truth, than Dad killed David, because he put on the fire to kill mom. But why would he do that?

I decided to go back in time a day before the fire. I found out that my dad had indeed paid the dealer a great sum of money to get my mom addicted to drugs, but I couldn’t find any viable clues that were connecting him to the fire. Fuck! I need to go back in time and watch how mom died, but it’s dangerous. I might die as well and there is no going back. I have to be careful to not get caught, but I will do it, I know that it’s worth it.

Mom wasn’t watching her twelve year old, she was doing meth. It was sad to watch, but what’s even worse is that she lit the fire accidentally, with the use of drugs. I was so careful to not be seen by both of my parents. Fortunatelly it is the house that I grew up in. I knew all the places I could hide in.
Me and my mom used to play hide and seek all the time, now I know why. She wanted me to stay hidden while she was getting high… I instantly deleted that memory out of my head. I was trying to concentrate. Why did Dad cover for her? Why was she giving her drugs?
More questions than answers…Maybe he couldn’t want anyone to know that mom was taking drugs, that he was the one feeding them to her.
He probably hated mom. But why? Perhaps, he was trying something from her and he gother high in order for her to not find out.

I went back in time. Six months before the fire to spy on dad. I found out he had a girlfriend. That’s why the bastard hiked mom! But then why didn’t he tell me about her, when years passed?
Meredith started crying and hearting herself. She thought about ending her life. She was all alone in this world. Her mother was a junkie and her father a killer.
She had a mental breakdown. She started smashing windows, while crying she didn’t even care about being caught by someone.
Suddenly her guardian angel appeared in front of her. He hugged her and advised her to go to a place that she relaxes. ‘’It’s not over yet” he said.
Meredith’s POV
I had to listen to him. I needed to follow him advice to not go insane! I went to the attic, where we had a library and started reading.
Reading always calmed my nerves. I fell asleep on the couch holding my favorite book in my hand.

I decided to read mom’s favorite book. I picked it up and suddenly a letter fell down.
Dear Meredith,
I don’t know how to start this letter. I want you to know that I love you so much. When you are an adult I ‘ll give it to you. I promise. I need to tell you the truth that I ‘ve been hiding from you.
Tony isn’t your biological father. I cheated on him. Your dad is called Andreas Papadopoulos. I met him when I went to Santorini Island, Greece with a couple of friends and we had a one-night stand. It was the worst mistake of my life. I am so sorry. I am grateful that you are my daughter and I would never change the fact that I gave birth to you.I love you so much.
Elaine
Meredith’s POV
I couldn’t comprehend or even begin to understand. Everything checked. Tony wanted revenge. I will travel to my wedding date and tell him everything.

-No need for that.
Meredith’s POV
I brought out a gun and killed him om the spot. He deserved to die. My wedding dress was red, with my father’s blood stained on it. I run out of the wedding and told Johnathan everything. He was understanding and compassionate. Three days later we married, with the only person there being a priest. I wanted as to be alone, far away from this chaos.
I never used my powers again. Me and my soulmate Johnathan grew up to be wonderful parents and grandparents. We lived until the old age and died happily, on each other’s arms while we slept.

This has the bones of a good story. There are a lot of typos and spelling errors and the writing feels a little immature. Fleshed out and polished this could be very good
