Olivia Beattie

Olivia Beattie – Editor

A senior non-fiction editor and proofreader with ten years' experience in trade publishing

Overview

An intuitive and responsive non-fiction editor, I have a Master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Oxford and ten years’ experience in trade publishing.

As editorial director at a small independent press, I’ve worked with Cabinet ministers, QCs and Olympic athletes to finesse their manuscripts, but I'm equally comfortable helping nervous new authors take their first steps.

With a background in politics, current affairs, biography and memoir, history, law and literary studies, I'm happy to take on most non-fiction genres, from the heavyweight to the highly commercial.

Most importantly, I'm adept at helping authors to fulfil their vision for their book, whether that's through in-depth structural editing, a light polish or anything in between.
