Luke Walker – Editor

I am an experienced, efficient and friendly copyeditor/proofreader with an excellent eye for detail. I work on non-fiction literature across the humanities; specialisms include literary studies, history, and topics relating to religion, spirituality or esotericism. I am a Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP).

As an active academic and graduate of the University of Oxford (BA Hons) and University of Sussex (MA, PhD), I have published widely on countercultural and avant-garde literature of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

My most recent freelance editing projects have included academic books and journals for Cambridge University Press and Manchester University Press, as well as trade non-fiction titles for Fitzcarraldo Editions. I have also edited a number of books for the mind-body-spirit publisher Aeon Books.

I have extensive experience of editing texts in both British and American English, and have close familiarity with the New Oxford Style Manual and the Chicago Manual of Style, as well as various publishers' house style sheets.
