Overview
I’ve been working as an editor and proofreader for almost two decades. I mainly take on copyediting and proofreading, and I can cover both fiction and non-fiction. I’ve worked on a wide variety of genres and subjects including crime fiction, horror novels, thrillers, music biographies, sports books, history titles, science, maths, economics, cars, philosophy, politics and literary fiction.
When working on a book I always make sure that the author’s voice comes through and isn’t lost in the editing process. Every book is different, and I take the time to adapt my approach to suit the author’s style – I’m here to make your book the best it can be. I’m a writer myself, and so I understand the importance of finding the right editor who will work with you and take an approach that’s positive and constructive.
If you’re a non-fiction author looking for someone to work on a specific subject, I have extensive knowledge of music, geology, movies, snowboarding, skateboarding and retro video-games (I’m a musician myself, I have a BSc in geology, I used to work on film magazines, I’m a former snowboard instructor and I wrote a book on retro video-games).

Bidu Bidu Books
I began working at Bidu Bidu Books (formerly Orangutan Books) as a freelance editor before taking up a full-time position during June 2018. The role required me to come up with new concepts for the company’s range of personalised children’s picture books, and then edit and project-manage these to completion.
Parragon Books
I joined Parragon as an editor in the Kit and Gift department, working across licensed and own-brand properties, and was subsequently promoted to the position of senior editor.
